I will be working closely with Cameron Ross, a leader in implementing lean engineering practices to support agile development. He is very forward thinking and has a pragmatic approach in implementing these practices.I will be pointing to some of his blog post as they’re very complementary to mine. He will also contribute to this blog.

Welcome…
Implementing change is never easy, especially in the context of large-scale software development organization. In implementing agile I have had to consider such factors as a large distributed organization, enterprise reporting, regulatory compliance, and legacy enterprise products. This is why Scott Ambler’s Disciplined Agile Delivery framework is my chosen frame to build lean processes and practices around. I have had to take different approaches to the DAD framework based on the specifics of the organization I was working with.
On this blog I will be sharing the agile/lean practices that I have adopted to meet specific large scale enterprise needs and ongoing continuous improvement and refinement after the transformation. I will be leveraging my toolkit of scrum, kanban, lean, and common sense. Typing is a challenge for me (I have a physical disability) so I will be mixing up traditional blog posts with video blogs and slide casts. I apologize right now. I’m no movie star, but what I lack in esthetic appeal I will makeup up in substance.
Agile transformation and evolution will not be a success unless there is active participation & collaboration from the whole product development organization (Product Management, R&D, and Quality Management). You can’t be an expert in everything… and a framework can only bring you so far. You need sound practices and strategies to make the framework successful. I strongly encourage my network and readers to share their approaches and experiences on here so we can all learn together.
